Like you, we're passionate about cars. We’d become frustrated at the poor level of service whenever we took our cars into a workshop - we thought “there must be a better way of doing this?”, so we decided to do something about it, and The Lost Socket was born.

We’re a place where drivers can feel at home, and really notice the difference - from our open, clean and visible workshop, relaxing customer lounge with real coffee, to our fair pricing structure.

Our experienced technicians will never cut corners - We will treat your vehicles with all the care and respect that you would.

We look after most types of vehicle – family cars, high performance cars, rare classics, small vans and fleet cars.

Responsible and caring

Whether we’re using protective covers on the bodywork to protect it while we work, or using reusable interior covers rather than unnecessary single use plastic covers, we will always tell and show you what you need to know about your car, even including video to show those bits that are hard to see.

Fair and Transparent Pricing

We’ll never charge you for work that isn’t needed, giving bespoke pricing that is based on manufacturer recommended labour times for your vehicle, rather than a fixed price where many customers pay for more than is necessary. We’ll let you choose whether we fit original or higher specification parts to your vehicle.

Servicing that’s right for you

Regular servicing will improve overall performance, fuel efficiency, vehicle longevity and catch minor issues before they develop into more expensive repairs.

The level of service we recommend depends on how long it’s been since your vehicle was last serviced and how many miles have been driven since then.

Many of our customers simply choose to bring their vehicle in for a Full Service every year, although for some customers (who do very high or very low mileage) this may vary.

If you’re unsure then just ask and we’ll advise based on the vehicle recommendations, individual usage and mileage.

Yes, we can carry out a pre-MOT check on your car, then book your car in for an MOT at a nearby testing station. We’ll then let you know if any additional work is needed to keep your vehicle safe and book a retest if required.

No. Your warranty is protected at all times with The Lost Socket. We use quality original equipment specification parts to preserve your manufacturer warranty. The Block Exemption legislation allows independent garages like us to carry out car services without affecting your car's warranty.
